Biography

Biography

Kim works as a health behavior researcher at the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care. By using qualitative and survey research, Kim focusses on the patient perspective, health behavior, sexual health, and health decision-making in relation to infectious diseases. She aims to make an impact that matters with her research by placing the opinions, perspective, and experience of patients at the forefront of healthcare and scientific research. Currently, she works on multidisciplinary projects together with patient originations, such as the Dutch HIV association, to include the perception of people living with HIV in HIV cure related research and prevention efforts.

In 2020, Kim successfully defended her PhD work, called Next to Best Health Decisions; Exploring two cases smoking behavior and childhood vaccination. This project was a collaboration between the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and Maastricht University.
